Insurance Update
We are truly grateful for the trust you have placed in our practice and for your support of our small privately owned business. We take pride in knowing that our doctors, opticians, and the entire staff have developed and maintained an office culture grounded in honesty, trust, and a high level of customer service. The growth of our practice and the countless reviews we have received speak to the level of care you want for your family and the level of care we strive to provide.
We have chosen to continue the high level of care that our patients have become accustomed to, and for this reason, we will no longer be in network with EyeMed’s Vision Plans effective September 8, 2022.
Our office will continue participation with VSP Vision Plans and numerous Medical Insurance Plans (Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, UMR, Medicare, Tricare, and others)
What does this mean for our patients that have EyeMed?
We are happy to serve you and will continue to welcome you to our office for the great eyecare you deserve!
If you have ANY medical complaints (dry eye, floaters, eye injuries or infections, allergies, high blood pressure or cholesterol, cataracts, and diabetes amongst others) you can utilize your medical insurance for your eye exam and testing (for plans with which we are in network).
If you are in need of routine vision care without medical complaints, you can utilize out-of-network benefits provided to you by your Eyemed plan. Most plans provide reimbursement to patients for an exam and eyeglasses or contact lenses. You will be responsible for exam and eyewear fees at the time of service.
We will gladly complete Eyemed’s Out of Network claim form on your behalf. Any reimbursement from Eyemed for out-of-network benefits will be paid directly to you.
We will offer a 20% discount off eyeglasses to our patients with active Eyemed Vision Plans. You may combine this savings with any out-of-network benefits paid to you by Eyemed.
With this change, we believe your level of care and service will increase as you will no longer be subject to the many restrictions that EyeMed places on you and on our practice. You will have access to any eyeglass lens designs and lens treatments that our practice offers (not just to those deemed cost-effective by Eyemed). Also great news, we now have the ability to make most eyeglass lenses in our office! This is a time-saving, cost-effective way to allow most patients to receive their glasses in a matter of a few short days and in some cases on the same day.
